The Digitel+ HT8400PVR is one of the easiest to use and full featured PVRs on the market. It features Full Media File Support for playback of downloaded movies and music, Twin Tuner PVR with massive 1TB storage and Network support to copy recordings and media files to and from the unit via FTP (File Transfer Protocol - FTP client software must be installed on your PC).
PVR functionality is comes with variable ad skip - 15 seconds - 5 minutes which is set via the system menu. The Digitel+ HT8400PVR also features 16x fast forward and rewind which works well in conjunction with Ad skip to fine tune transversal through commercials. To book recordings, you have the option to chose between a grid based EPG (Electronic Program Guide) and list based EPG. Booking recordings is as simple as pressing the record button and confirming the recording details. It is at this stage that the user can change recording times to pad out recordings for program time over runs as well as schedule multiple recordings : daily, weekly, weekday, weekends etc.
